As 2011 came to a close, one could hardly open a magazine, turn on the TV, or flip through the radio without seeing or hearing a Top 10 list. “The 10 Best News Stories of 2011,” or “The Top 10 Movies of the Year,” “The Top 10 Songs of the Year,” and even, “The Top 10 Top 10 Lists of the Year.”

They are as prominent as they are because they’re fun. They catch our eyes and ears and especially our interest. Top ten lists are an entertaining way to to look at the year in its entirety – to reflect on the amazing (or ridiculous) things that 2011 had to offer.

As a church family, we’ve gotten to hear some incredible messages from our pastors and guest speakers. So, in the spirit of auld lang syne, we humbly offer our own Top 10 List.

We’ve gathered together some of the most powerful, compelling messages from a range of pastors and guest speakers at Mariners. For some who caught them the first time around, this list is a chance to reflect on and re-visit what God was saying to you. If you missed church that weekend, it’s an opportunity to catch some great teaching. Perhaps most importantly, our list provides a resource for you to introduce Mariners and God’s message to a family member, friend, or neighbor.
