A Note From Kenton Beshore

MessageFrom-KB

We hope you’ll join us to celebrate Easter, the most powerful event in history. Through His resurrection, Jesus defeated death and brought light into the world—a light brighter than the heartache and hardships we face. And ever since, nothing has been the same. Jesus is the hope we all need. Our call out of darkness and into marvelous light!

We’re a church for the community, so if you are new to Mariners, we want to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center on the patio this weekend. And join us the following weekend as we begin a new series, Reset. We all reach places in our lives when our attempts at contentment and satisfaction come up empty. We’re on the hunt for a new beginning, a do-over. There has to be something bigger than our small dreams, right? We’ll talk about this question in the coming weeks.

Grace and Truth,

Kenton

When it comes to Jesus and the Church, this week is what it is all about. God loves us so much that He sent His Son to the cross to pay the price for our sin, our brokenness. And then three days later, that Jesus did indeed rise from the dead, that the tomb was, in fact, empty, is a miracle and something worth celebrating! There is power in the resurrection – the idea that the same power that brought Jesus back from the dead can change our lives today. We hope that you will come to celebrate this beautiful truth with us this week. It’s a powerful message and it’s what our faith is all about. And remember, you have people in your life who need to hear this message, or need to be reminded of this message. All it takes is an invite. This Easter, don’t come alone, bring someone. Let them experience what Jesus and the Church is all about.

Our services are: Good Friday: 5:30p and Easter: 9 & 11a. If you get here early, please park in the Armstrong’s Nursery lot – the gate will be open. We want to fill those spots first!

Blessings,
Jeff

MessageFrom-HB

There’s something special about EASTER. At Easter we remember that Jesus died but didn’t stay dead. Everyone dies, but resurrections are unusual. Especially resurrections that were predicted and prophesied about for hundreds of years. That’s not normal. Jesus is not normal. In fact, we believe that Jesus was God with skin on. And we believe that His death and resurrection can result in forgiveness and new life…….for everyone.

Everyone. Forgiven. That’s what people are talking about when they talk about GOOD NEWS.

Following Jesus is not about rules, rituals, or right-wings. It’s about receiving God’s grace… His forgiveness… His love… and then passing it on.

You know someone who needs to hear that message this weekend. Invite them. Bring them. You might just be part of a miracle.

Easter service times:
Saturday 5p (Band stand in Central Park – food and activities for kids following service)
Sunday 8:30, 10, 11:30a, 6p

On a more personal note, where in your life do YOU need “resurrection?” What’s hurtful, bad, broken that needs a miracle? I’m praying for miracles this week… and I’m praying for you.

Caleb

I’m looking forward to celebrating Easter with you! We’re celebrating the revolutionary life of Jesus and the miracle of His resurrection. Jesus brings dead things to life. We believe He has the power to resurrect lifeless marriages, break the chains of addiction, bring healing to broken people. In a sense, we celebrate Easter every Sunday. We would love to see you back for any of our regular Sunday services at 9 and 11a. Next weekend, we will begin our new series called: Reset. In it, we’ll ask: “What would it look like if we could get a whole-life do-over?”

Thanks so much to those of you who are volunteering in our kids’ ministry this weekend. Your response has been unbelievable. You make our church great! There is still opportunity to serve on Saturday night at 5p. If you’d like to do so, contact Rachel Runyon by email: rrunyon@marinerschurch.org
