A Note From Jeff Pries

MessageFrom-OH

All through our lives we have those moments when we think to ourselves, “Am I really that stupid?” Unfortunately, those times probably happen more often than we’d like to admit. For instance, last week, I put the trash cans out on the wrong night for the second straight week. Now, that “Am I really that stupid?” moment is an inconvenience, which lends itself to a shake of the head. What about the times we do something far more serious than the wrong trash can night? What about those times when we do something stupid, or out of our character and perhaps we get away with it, but what if we’re not so lucky the next time?

This Sunday, we will be talking about the biggest area of our life that has the potential to take us down some of the darkest, scariest roads possible. And we will see it is a road that leads to a dead end where freedom is lost. So join us in the third week of our FREEDOM series. And don’t forget, chances are you have a friend, neighbor or co-worker that needs to hear this message.

As always, it’s great doing life and ministry with you.

Take care,

Jeff

MessageFrom-IR

I love the way we are launching into 2017 with our FREEDOM series, remembering we serve an abundant, loving heavenly Father and that true freedom is found in a rich relationship with Him. So many of you are joining us on this spiritual adventure and inviting your friends and family on this journey as well. But what is a spiritual adventure? And why would you want to go on one? Kenton will be back this weekend reminding us that our God is a God of adventure and everything we are longing for is found through a spiritual journey with Him.

Also, so many of you have commented on how valuable and inspiring the Daily Read Recap has been and invited your friends to jump in with us! There are still a handful of Bibles available in the bookstore and it is always available as a free app. Checkout the video below from our life groups pastor Erin Kerr and join the adventure of hearing God’s voice as He leads us into this year.

Looking forward to seeing and being with you guys this weekend.

Peace,

Kyle

MessageFrom-HB

…what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.  Psalm 8:4-5

This week we continue in our series, Social Reset, and we’re talking about being human. We’re not animals… we’re also not angels. We’re something between. And understanding that is important to living a full and meaningful life.

This message is rated PG-13, so plan on dropping off your children with our amazing children’s ministry staff and volunteers.

Invite a friend who wrestles with their urges. (But don’t tell them you’re inviting them because they wrestle with their urges.) Our lives don’t have to be hijacked by our compulsive, animalistic behaviors. There’s hope. Health and progress are possible.

Theater Construction Update
We get the keys to our next ministry space February 1st and construction will begin immediately. Hurray!!

Stay tuned for events and opportunities (i.e., We’re planning a “Blessing of the Build-out” hour the evening of Friday, February 3rd). Get the latest information at StepInHB.com and by following us on Instagram and Facebook.

Exciting times ahead!

See you Sunday…
