Hey Mariners Peeps….

Hope you are doing great this week!

I had such a fun time last Saturday hanging out with so many of you at the Angels baseball game night! We had a BIG section of people in the right field bleachers and saw an extra innings game end in a loss…BUT our time out there together was a blast! Don’t forget that next week on the 31st is another time to hang out together in the park with everyone watching a movie! You won’t want to miss it. Click here for details! The end of summer is rapidly approaching so don’t waste a moment that you could be connecting with someone in your community, church or even your own home! Was Lamont great this past week or what?! I really enjoyed getting to know him and learning more about Naamen. What did it look like for you to take that next step in your journey this week?

Remember the lesson from Naamen…We have to come clean, to get clean! This weekend we will be learning from one of my FAVORITE people and stories in the Bible…JONAH! He has so many characteristics that are just like you and me so PLEASE be there this weekend to worship together and learn more about this great Hero of the Bible!

Hey Mariners HB!

Hope you guys enjoyed week one of EPIC! I loved seeing all of the superheroes on the patio! My favorite superhero as a kid was The Hulk! Lou Ferrigno was the man! I had a special pair of Hulk pajamas that I would put on and then run around picking up and throwing chairs while growling loudly. HAHA! (No….I will not share pictures of that!)

I learned something this weekend that stuck with me. All of my strengths come with inherent weaknesses that I need to be aware of. My gifts and talents can lead to arrogance or laziness, or when I don’t feel I measure up, they can lead to feelings of insecurity and isolation. I’ve been praying that God would protect and lead me this week to rely on HIS strength and not my own. I hope you have too.

This weekend, we continue in our EPIC series and you do NOT want to miss it. We’ll tackle another great person in the Bible and learn from their story. Also, we have many great ways to connect this summer that are coming up, so join us and be sure to bring a friend with you!

Angels vs. Mariners

Join us on an Overnight Faith Adventure to work alongside our church partners and for a weekend of fun! The weekend will include: basic roofing on the church’s cafe/thrift store building; playing baseball with kids in the neighborhood and other kids’ activities! Sunday, we will join our friends for church in El Niño, followed by watching the World Cup final game with them! This is a family-friendly weekend with opportunities for all to serve and see the love of Jesus in action!

I’m so excited to introduce Mike Foster to our church on Sunday! You’re going to love Mike’s creativity and authenticity. God has used him in amazing ways already, and he continues to point people toward a God of grace and second chances.

Also, I hope to see you on the parade route on the 4th of July! Our church comes out in force—pancakes, sausage, and fun times. Bring a friend who thinks Christians are lame.
