February feels so good! It’s the month of love… the Super Bowl… and the movie theater is ours!

Construction begins this week in our next ministry space–the former Regency movie theater. Pray with us. Continue contributing, financially, to the build-out. And look for opportunities to join in the fun.

“Bless the Build-out”: Friday evening, 6-7p we’ll be inside the theater to pray God’s blessing on the construction project. This is a fun opportunity to see the space, gather together, pray for God’s favor, and have a meal at one of the local restaurants afterward.

Sunday: Another great 60 minutes together that will set the course of your week, and help you hear from God. We continue our series, Social Reset, talking about relationships that affect us all. And I’ve invited more VIPs to join me on stage for part of my message. Don’t miss this! Bring a friend. Come on time. (Scoot to the center:)) A friendly reminder to enter the parking lot off of Talbert this week as the Surf City Marathon will close the Golden West entrance.

See you soon…

Caleb

The clouds of Stormageddon have parted and given way to chilly but beautiful new days in this new year.

Remember, whatever you’re facing, wherever you find yourself, the sun comes up tomorrow. Eventually, the clouds part and give way to light and a fresh new hope for good things to come. Storms come… and storms go. Only our God never changes.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Special Sunday: My longest friend (6th grade) and the City Councilman of Downtown Denver, Albus Brooks, will be with us this Sunday, sharing part of the message with me about FRIENDSHIPS. You’re not going to want to miss this candid conversation about how to have thriving friendships. I’m calling the message, “Friends and Fiction.”

Building Update: Friday, February 3rd, 6-7pm, we’re hosting an informal “Bless the Build-Out” night INSIDE OUR NEW THEATER! Join us for a brief time of celebration and prayer as we get our first look inside the Theater prior to remodel. Then hang around afterwards and have dinner in the shopping center. It will be a great night!

See you soon…

…what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.  Psalm 8:4-5

This week we continue in our series, Social Reset, and we’re talking about being human. We’re not animals… we’re also not angels. We’re something between. And understanding that is important to living a full and meaningful life.

This message is rated PG-13, so plan on dropping off your children with our amazing children’s ministry staff and volunteers.

Invite a friend who wrestles with their urges. (But don’t tell them you’re inviting them because they wrestle with their urges.) Our lives don’t have to be hijacked by our compulsive, animalistic behaviors. There’s hope. Health and progress are possible.

Theater Construction Update
We get the keys to our next ministry space February 1st and construction will begin immediately. Hurray!!

Stay tuned for events and opportunities (i.e., We’re planning a “Blessing of the Build-out” hour the evening of Friday, February 3rd). Get the latest information at StepInHB.com and by following us on Instagram and Facebook.

Exciting times ahead!

See you Sunday…

We kicked off a new year and a new series last Sunday, Social Reset. We’re talking about relationships, in all kinds of ways. Sunday we said:

1. Start at the start: Remember who you are and how God sees you.

2. Celebrate the Source: How God made you is good. You are who you are for a reason.

3. Talk to yourself and don’t compare yourself.

Before you surf and scroll, reflect and remember what’s true.

If you missed last Sunday or want to pass along the message, click here. Social Reset continues this Sunday. Be there:
8:30, 10, 11:30a & 6p.

Quick building update: We take over the theater and begin construction February 1st. The fun begins! Between now and the move-in date we will update StepInHB.com regularly with posts, pics, and events, so stay tuned.

May God continue to bless you as you follow His path into 2017!
