The King still has one more move!

Last weekend was amazing as Albert Tate brought us the powerful reminder that we are never beyond God’s love – redemption – forgiveness – or His purpose for our lives. What a profound response as we were able to celebrate and rest in His power and grace as He restores each one of us back into who He created us to be.

This weekend is another great opportunity to invite your friends and family to join us as we gather to hear the story God is writing in and through our church, encountering the power and presence of Jesus to transform our minds, hearts and lives!

Looking forward to being with you all.

Peace,
Kyle

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.  2 Corinthians 4:1

I love this verse…that God has given us “this ministry” of comfort, hope, reconciliation, and freedom in Christ. We are the people that can live without losing heart or being swayed by the circumstances of life, knowing that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive within us as His followers. This week as I was reflecting on this verse I was reminded of how I can see it expressed in our church family. I’m grateful for the way we are experiencing this truth together in our church services as we worship in spirit and truth, pursuing Jesus and responding to all that God is with all that we are. It’s humbling to see what God is doing and how He is bringing healing, hope and freedom into our lives and relationships. I love that we are inviting our friends and family to experience the power of Jesus with us. This weekend will be amazing as our friend, Albert Tate, is back. He is a gifted communicator of God’s Word. He will encourage, challenge and inspire us to become more of who God created us to be as we live out this verse together. Be sure to invite your friends and family join us…can’t wait to see you all!

Peace…

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

This week, I was reminded of what a well-rounded faith looks like as I read through our Streams in the Desert devotional from May 12. It talked about a life of faith being formed through so many areas of learning, including the trial of faith, the discipline of faith, the patience of faith, the courage of faith and finally…the victory of faith. I realized that so often I just want to live in the victory of faith without having my faith developed in all of these other areas. I’m praying for you and your faith this week, that it would be well-rounded in the presence and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I loved celebrating Mother’s Day Weekend with you! What a profound message Kenton and Ines gave us on the power of Moms being beautiful and brave. It was such a joy to meet you and your families on the patio – to have all of the students join us in the Worship Center and to experience the energy, the relationship and the beauty of the gospel on display. I love who we are becoming and what God is doing in each one of us and our families.

This Sunday night, I invite you to join me at the Out of Darkness Premiere. I was with a team in Kenya, at Mavuno Church, when God gave the vision to our friend Prashan to unite Congo around the power of forgiveness and reconciliation and gave the dream of making this documentary to two of my good friends and members of our church. This Sunday is significant as we get to see the fruit of their efforts and the powerful work of redemption God is doing in Congo through our church partner. Please join me. You can purchase tickets and find out more here.

This weekend, we’re back in our Reset series. What a great opportunity to invite someone who is looking for a fresh start – a way to move through life with wisdom, joy, purpose and with the freedom that God intends for every one of us to embrace. I look forward to being with you all this weekend

Peace,

Kyle

I can’t wait to celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend with you! As I look back over my many years of worshiping at Mariners, I can recall the different seasons of my life when God met me in powerful ways on Mother’s Day. When I was adjusting to my role as a new wife, as I was struggling with infertility, and then later feeling the joy and the sometimes overwhelming feeling of being a mom of four. Through all these seasons God showed Himself as faithful and continued to remind me of His great love. I know God will speak powerfully through Kenton and our service to honor and celebrate the moms and women in our life. There’s lots of fun planned… you can take a picture at one of our photo booths, enjoy a yummy treat on the patio and write a card for that special mom in your life. Be sure to invite your mom, family and friends to join us on this special weekend! And don’t worry men….your weekend is coming up in June!
