We hope you’ll join us to celebrate Easter, the most powerful event in history. Through His resurrection, Jesus defeated death and brought light into the world—a light brighter than the heartache and hardships we face. And ever since, nothing has been the same. Jesus is the hope we all need. Our call out of darkness and into marvelous light!

We’re a church for the community, so if you are new to Mariners, we want to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center on the patio this weekend. And join us the following weekend as we begin a new series, Reset. We all reach places in our lives when our attempts at contentment and satisfaction come up empty. We’re on the hunt for a new beginning, a do-over. There has to be something bigger than our small dreams, right? We’ll talk about this question in the coming weeks.

Grace and Truth,

Kenton

Live Brave, Not Safe” – Pastor Oscar Muriu

Have you been living out this invitation and challenge that was issued to us from our friend, Pastor Oscar last weekend? I love that we don’t have to live in fear because we walk not in our own strength or our own power, but in the strength, wisdom and power of Jesus! I love what’s possible when we walk with Him.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, the day that Jesus was welcomed by thousands of people waving palm branches proclaiming, “Hosanna! Save us!” This weekend will be a great celebration as we remember that day together and join them in that cry as people who are desperate to be saved as well. This will be the perfect way to launch into Holy Week, remembering who Jesus is and the fullness of a relationship with Him. Then, plan to join me next week at our Good Friday experiences as we reflect together on Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, and of course, our Easter experiences will be powerful expressions of the hope and life found in the resurrection of Jesus!

This is the perfect season to be inviting your friends and family – people that you’ve been praying for who desperately need the hope that we get to walk in daily through a relationship with Jesus – to come with you and experience the power of the gospel. I look forward to being with all this weekend and next week!

Peace,

Kyle

You can’t be reconciled with someone you don’t know. -Dr. John Perkins

This past week at our church was spectacular. We had the opportunity to hear from Dr. John Perkins and talk about reconciliation. His invitation into the full gospel was powerful as we considered what it means to have reconciliation on display the way God calls us to – as His ambassadors.

I love the message series we’re in – The Pursuit of Happiness – and how God is continuing to help us find lives full of love and joy as we follow Jesus. This weekend, I’m so excited about what God is going to do. We get to hear from Pastor Oscar Muriu, from Nairobi Chapel in Kenya. Oscar’s contagious enthusiasm for the gospel and his challenging and inspiring message is something you’re not going to want to miss. Bring your friends and family.

We’ll also be celebrating this season we have been living in of Being Fearless and all that God has done as thousands of us have served and participated, unleashing a wave of generosity throughout Orange County and the world. Come and experience the beauty of the gospel on display with us this weekend.

Looking forward to being with you.

Peace,
Kyle
