Last weekend was powerful, wasn’t it? I love how we reflected on God’s heart for us as a loving Heavenly Father, and the idea that He never leaves or abandons us, or diminishes the call He’s given us to demonstrate that love to the world. It’s powerful to see how gratitude, generosity, and humility are unlocking the Kingdom of God in our lives, helping us to become who He’s created us to be and transforming the world through the power of His love.
Have you ever wondered about the meaning of life? What about those in your life – have they ever questioned why they are here or how to live life to the fullest? You’re not going to want to miss this weekend as we tackle that question together, launching our church into this next season, passionately focused on who we’re called to be.
Looking forward to seeing you and meeting your friends and family.
Outreach Ministries is partnering with Arabic, Kenyan, and Persian churches in Orange and Los Angeles counties to have a global night of prayer for the Church around the world. We are overwhelmed by the need for prayer, and know there is power through the Holy Spirit when we bring our voices together. RSVP to Pamela.

What an amazing weekend for community life at our church–kicking it off on Friday night with our annual Harvest Carnival where we got to share our campus with our community in a beautiful way, helping people see the gift of authentic relationship with Jesus and one another. (see more about it below:) This fall season gives us so many opportunities to engage our neighbors that are looking for the truth, grace and hope that a relationship with Jesus brings. I’m praying for you to be courageous in loving, serving, and inviting others to be a part of the redemptive story God is writing.
How about the example we unpacked from Mary about the cost of saying yes to follow God’s leading…isn’t it oddly comforting to know that there are others, including the mother of Jesus, that go through difficult seasons of questioning, confusion, and pain in the midst of following and trusting God? This weekend, we’ll continue our journey through the book of Luke exploring the powerful truths about God’s Kingdom expressed in Mary’s famous Magnificat. Bring your friends and family as we continue to discover and become who God designed us to be…
Last week, many of you invited your friends and neighbors for a evening of ol’ fashioned fun at Harvest Carnival 2013. Free candy, yummy food, fall festivities, friends, kids, carnival rides, and the gift of community and relationship, all rolled into one – it doesn’t get much better than that. So, in case you missed it, or you just want to re-live the experience, check out our Photo Candids, and our Photo Booth.
Also, be sure to check out the Smile Stand pics, where so many of you stopped by to capture the moment.
And finally…to our dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who tirelessly gave their time and energy to make Harvest Carnival happen – THANK YOU!
