Happy Halloween! Harvest! Dress-up Day! Sugar Rush!

Change how you view Halloween. It’s an incredible opportunity to get to know neighbors and engage kids. Few days of the year are this easy to meet people in your neighborhood and help kids have a fun and safe experience. Kids should think we are the coolest and most fun people to be around.

Be intentional. Be fun.

And join us for our annual fall event TRUNK OR TREAT in the Sports Complex parking lot (adjacent to the Library Theater) on Saturday, Oct 31, from 3-5p. It will be a great time. More details below…

Don’t forget to set your clocks back on Saturday evening. Yes, it’s an extra hour of sleep! Charge up and show up ready to go on Sunday (8:30, 10, 11:30a & 6p).

I believe that God will speak to you this Sunday. Begin to pray now, inviting Him to get your attention and reshape your thinking. Start by reflecting on this verse:

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 (NLT)

Are you open to a mind-shift?

The STEP IN FILM FESTIVAL is in full swing. I’m excited for you to see the next short film!

This Sunday, I’ll be talking about the Dark Side—the dark side in all of us—and how we all live with something in us that wants to do wrong. (You can read ahead in Romans 7, if you’d like.)

Plan on joining us for Trunk or Treat—Sat, Oct 31, 3-5p, in the Sports Complex parking lot adjacent to the Central Library. Dress up, decorate your vehicle, bring your kids—little kids, big kids, grown-man-kids… it will be a fun time.

See you soon!

YOU’VE NEVER SEEN OUR CHURCH LIKE THIS BEFORE.

Sunday, we kick off the Step In Film Festival. We’ll have the normal elements of our church service, but it will look and feel special. You’re not going to want to miss this!

Come early. Squeeze to the center. BYO Popcorn (but actually don’t). Come expecting great things.

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
Psalm 5:3

I believe that God has something to say to you every Sunday. In fact, if you’re paying attention, you can hear and/or see God every single day. He’s with you… in the middle of your right now. If you don’t hear Him yet, you will. Just wait.

Looking forward to listening together in the weeks to come…

Couple quick things you should know about the coming weeks…

This Sunday: PANCAKE BREAKFAST in the parking lot—after all four services (8:30, 10, 11:30a & 6p). My cousin, Mike Myers will be teaching in our Romans series—it will be a GREAT day.

Next Sunday (10/18): STEP IN FILM FESTIVAL – I’ll be back and we will be kicking off the four-week film festival celebrating life-change in our church. The four weeks starting 10/18 will be unlike anything you’ve seen at our church so far. Don’t miss a Sunday. Seriously. Seriously, don’t miss a Sunday. People will be talking about the services and film festival and the in-service short films and you’ll feel bad, like you missed out—and it will be true. So, seriously, don’t miss.

Love you…
