Bacon of all flavors, maple, jalapeño, peppered and sugar-cured… over 500 pounds of it, that’s what the Men of Mariners consumed on our campus last weekend. What an amazing time we had together. It was so fun to meet you and your families and to worship together with you. We laughed, we played, and listened as Doug Fields challenged and invited us to take our next step of faith – becoming the kind of men God wants us to be for our families and this world.

I’m so excited this week as we continue in our What If message series. Kenton will be here, teaching on one of the most famous passages in the Bible. If you’ve ever wondered one of the things that Jesus wants us to care deeply about, you won’t want to miss this message.

Summer is rapidly approaching which means there are some great opportunities just around the corner to be God’s family together. Here are two great opportunities… this Saturday night, come to our United Worship Experience where we will experience unity in diversity as we worship and pray together. Then, next Friday night, June 27, we have the opportunity to worship with our friend, Matt Redman. Matt is a gifted musical artist and worship leader. It’s going to be a special evening as he leads us in remembering, celebrating and honoring who God is. Be sure to join us.

I can’t wait to see you guys this weekend and look forward to spending this summer with you.

Peace

It’s almost Father’s Day weekend, one of the most absolute fun weekends in the life of our church and I’m so excited to spend it with you! The patio will be covered with lots of interactive activities – we’ll be chipping golf shots into the lake, slurping root beer with the kiddos, munching on bacon and mac ‘n’ cheese with the family, and checking out the police vehicles and fire trucks. These are just a few of the cool things we have planned. Most importantly, we’ll have the opportunity to put the gospel on display for our community, living out our value of taking our relationship with Jesus seriously, but not ourselves.

The service experience has some fun stuff planned for Dad and maybe even a few surprises. :-) I’m thrilled that Doug Fields will be back with us – teaching God’s Word with a relevant and engaging message for all. And this weekend only Doug is offering his new book, 7 Ways to be Her Hero, for only $11! It will be available for purchase in the Bookstore and on the patio.

This is a weekend you won’t want to miss. Do your friends a favor and bring them to church with you this weekend. I promise you, they will thank you for it. I’ve already invited 2 families from our street who haven’t attended church in years.  Invite a friend to come with you as we gather to celebrate and reflect on the truth of who Jesus is and the way He changes everything.

See you guys this weekend.

Kyle

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Have you been resting in your relationship with God this week? Are you finding ways to create space and listen to God’s voice reminding you of who you are as His child? Leading you, guiding you, healing you…giving you wisdom and strength for the journey? What a powerful time we shared together last weekend as we celebrated Jesus as the author of our Sabbath, remembering His sacrifice for us, making peace with God our Father, and inviting us to rest in our relationship with Him. I love the series we are going through as a church family and I love the invitation you are extending to friends and family to join you. Every week it’s an honor to say hello to you on the patio and meet the people you are inviting to be a part of the journey with you. As life continues to pull at your heart and time, fight for the space to join with your church family. It is so important we come together to celebrate and remember who God is by responding and becoming more like the fearless world changers He created us to be.

Peace
