Haven’t you enjoyed the Beautiful Mess series? Wrestling with our core identity…inviting God to heal and remind us of who we are as His “dearly loved children”…becoming the loving spouses, friends, and parents God created us to be. So many of you have told me about the impact of this series on your thinking and how you are choosing to live differently as a result of what God has prompted. This weekend we’ll be concluding the series with the foundational qualities that will keep all of us aimed in the direction God has called us, and Kenton will be giving people the opportunity to say “I Believe”, declaring their intent to trust and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Don’t let a little rain distract you – invite your friends and neighbors to join us for a powerful weekend.

Tomorrow night is Fight Night! There’s still time to register and join us, or just show up and learn how to be more healthy and effective in your relational communication. More info and registration is available below.

Also, next week we begin our journey to Easter with Ash Wednesday. This marks the beginning of Lent, where we take time to prepare and remember the sacrifice of Jesus for each of us. For the first time, we will be hosting Ash Wednesday services in the chapel at noon and 7p. We’d love for you to join us as we journey through the Lenten season to Easter together.

What is God stirring in your life this week? For me, I was challenged by the message last weekend and felt God was inviting me to step into who He created me to be by having some serious fun! Growing up, my view of God was that He was incredibly serious and would therefore want me to be incredibly serious. He never laughed or smiled, let alone smirked or laughed with me about funny things in life. It’s beautiful to continue to be challenged and have my view of God expanded, learning and discovering more about who He is and who I am.

I’ve loved meeting your friends and family who have been joining you for this Beautiful Mess series. Invite them back and join us this weekend as Doug Fields will be here for the last of three weeks on how we raise and relate to kids. And don’t forget to sign up for our relationship Fight Night.

It’s an encouraging and challenging journey we’re on, and I’m so grateful we get to do this together.

Ephesians 3:20, 21

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

I love this promise and how it speaks to a loving Heavenly Father who is not just able, but desires to surprise His kids (us:) with transformation beyond anything we could ever think to dream or anticipate. I believe we are experiencing this truth together in powerful ways this season through our Beautiful Mess series. Each week we’re hearing stories of healing, reconciliation, and hope through the power of Jesus. If you missed last week (or any of this series) you can always listen online here. And make sure to invite your friends and family to join us for the last couple weeks of Beautiful Mess – they will be forever grateful that you loved and cared enough to bring them.
