A Note From Kyle

hey church – what a great finish to our Love Without Walls series and the opportunity to reflect on who God created us to be – humble servants, armed with compassion, changing the world. I love the power in the words, names, thoughts and phrases written on the “I Will” board by our church family, and then seeing everyone together at the Pumpkin Patch, eating, listening to music and kids pouring over the pumpkins looking for just the right one, it was pretty cool. I can’t wait to see how our stories unfold as God moves through our commitments and prayers.

As we continue looking at how God is leading us to respond to challenges in our community, we invite you to be a part of the conversation this Sunday, Oct 28 after the 11a service. Pastor Laurie Beshore will join us as we talk through What’s Next for MV?

Doug Fields will be back teaching this weekend and he’ll be aiming our hearts and minds at what we need to consider as we engage this fall season. Be sure to join us and bring someone with you.

Grateful. That’s what comes to mind as I sit here writing this to you still completely overwhelmed by our time together last weekend. God stirred my heart as I considered the one thing I’m convinced can bring change to the world. What about you? Were there ideas or emotions He stirred up in you? As we come back together this weekend, we want to continue celebrating the story that God is writing through our church, how He is uniquely positioning us for the future, and preparing our hearts so we can respond to the needs in our community. So many of you walked through our Love Without Walls experience, taking in the distinctive history of what has made us who we are, and expressing what specific step God is inviting you to take in loving those around us.

I invite you to come with your hearts open this weekend as we conclude our LWW series, looking at how we live out our lives as humble servants armed with compassion, changing the world. Be sure to invite a friend so he or she might see the beauty of who the church is called to be. As God speaks to you and calls you to action, I encourage you to share your story with us. Take a moment and visit our website.

Oh, one last thing – The Pumpkin Patch is happening after the Saturday night service. I hope you can make it. Take home your favorite pumpkin for just $3.

peace…

A Note From Kyle

Hey Friends,

What is the one thing you are convinced can bring change to the world?

Last week, we looked at how Jesus modeled being a humble servant to those around Him and to the world. He made Himself nothing by taking on the very nature of a servant. As followers of Jesus, we are invited to take this same posture, imitating His humility in what we say and how we live.

So, what is the one thing you are convinced can bring change to the world? I’m excited to see you this weekend as we continue our series, Love Without Walls and answer that question together. Can’t wait for all God’s going to do in and through us at MCMV.

Peace,
Kyle

Hey friends,
I’m excited to see you this weekend as we kick off our new series, “Love Without Walls.” Over the next three weeks, we’ll take a look at how, as humble servants armed with compassionate love, we can carry out God’s redemption story to change the world.  What would it look like if we as followers of Jesus were known for our humble service, radical grace, and sacrificial love? How does God want us to step into His epic story and connect with those who are far from Him? How can we help meet needs we see around us every day? These are things the world expects from us. These are things we are called to be.

I’m sure you’ve had conversations with friends or neighbors about these thoughts. This is a great time to bring them to church because they’ll get the chance to see the beauty of the church. We’ll explore these questions together through God’s Word and interactive experiences. These are good reminders of how God is working through us, transforming us into everything He wants us to be.

I can’t wait to see you there.

Peace,
Kyle
