Student Leadership

Student-Leadership-Compass

Students can be leaders in our Children’s Ministry by joining our Student Leadership program. Students serve in Port Mariners each weekend and at special events like Harvest Carnival and Vacation Bible School. Leaders help out with childcare, small groups, worship, computer check-in, running audio/visual equipment in the classrooms and serving as special friends in our Special Needs Ministry. For more info, visit our website.

With Fall Kick Off in full swing, we hope you have been enjoying your experience on Sunday mornings. Many of our ministries have launched: Rooted, Men, Women and Youth. Community Nights will be kicking off in two weeks; it’s going to be a great time, so please plan on jumping in. This week, we’ll be finishing up our fall series, then starting a new series on Romans. We’ll be looking at ways to continue bringing life change into our lives.

Now that summer is fully over, I want to say “way to go!” Summer involves a lot of things for many of us and especially for churches. Oftentimes, summer means lower attendance and a decline in giving. Well, our numbers grew in the summer, and our giving exceeded our budget. You have continued to be incredibly generous to the Church and obedient to God. Thank you! You are making a difference. Ministry is happening because of your generosity and God’s blessing. God is using you in amazing ways!

Blessings,

Jeff

MessageFrom-HB

This past Sunday was one of my favorite days we’ve ever experienced. We had 110 people stand and say “I Believe”—for the first time – or as a recommitment. Thank you for putting a stake in the ground. Know that we’ve been praying for you this week. And thank you, to everyone, for keeping our church a place where all feel welcome, lives are changing, and hope is flourishing. It’s a privilege to be in this with you.

This Sunday, we’ll continue looking at passages from Paul’s famous letter to the Romans, as we discuss why life is BETTER THIS WAY. Be sure to join us at 8:30, 10, 11:30a or 6p.

Below are a few more things to keep in mind, and two verses to let sink in today:

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  –Eph 2:8 (NLT)

This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. –Col 1:6 (NLT)
