Throughout 1997, the pace was chaotic. Mariners South Coast Church held five services during the weekend, with leadership shuttling back and forth between campuses. The staff
operated Children’s and Student Ministries, Men’s and Women’s Bible studies, and a host of activities throughout the week on both campuses and they were exhausted.
Energy and hope were wearing thin. Through it, we wondered how long we could sustain this pace and if it was even worth it. Could the church survive this?
